I came across this article yesterday and it really resonated with me.

This woman – in the public eye, was brave enough to share her story on abuse.

People like this really inspire me, famous or not, sharing stories, having the courage, it’s amazing.

“She also heartbreakingly revealed that she made out to her family and friends that her ‘life was perfect’ but the reality ‘was worse than you could ever imagine’”.

I think it’s really important to raise the above part of this article. People that go through abuse can hide the truth to their loved ones. This is for many reasons – guilt, embarrassment, hope that it’ll change, fear of abuser etc, the list is never ending.

Raise awareness, build an understanding and help bring change.
