
I wake up tired today. That will teach me for getting in at 2am! Least I’m not hungover that’s a start.
New Year and New Beginnings. I wonder what the year will bring.
I did some New Years Resolutions, I’m determined to stick to them:
1) Stick to my daily routine. Now I work a lot better and feel mentally better if I stick to a routine. I can then manage my time and be as productive as possible. When I don’t have one I get bored easily and get unmotivated.
2) Be healthier – who else’s is this? Everyone’s no doubt. I usually drink 2L of water anyways but I’m slacking so I’ll do that more, eat healthier, stop smoking, cut down drinking. I also need to start doing some form of exercise so I don’t get out of breath walking up the stairs. I’m 27! I went and picked up a Apple Watch yesterday so i guess I’m ready for it. I’ve also signed up to two runs in January for charity so I best get cracking!
3) Enjoy everyday like it’s my last. Slightly morbid however i need to do this more. The amount of minutes, hours, days I’ve wasted on worrying about things that won’t matter in 5 years time. The amount of stress I’ve been under due to domestic abuse and the constant feeling miserable. All that time wasted. Well not anymore!
4) Self Love. Now I actually do love my appearance. I love the way I am and that’s taken a while to do. However, looking after my skin, my hair, my mental health is really important this year, so I will prioritise myself first.
5) Be happy – I hope this year brings me happiness.
While I sit on my bed, with my partner still asleep (yes I know it’s 11:40am), with a bottle of water and my Percy pig pillow – I think how lucky I am to be here, in this moment, on this planet.
Let’s make the most of 2022.
