Now I’ve been on many domestic abuse courses, I’ve experienced it myself. So when I read stories I feel empowerment, I feel proud of the author and I love sharing.

This book, I really struggled to read. I have been on a course about domestic abuse in pets and I struggled with that too.

It really opened my eyes. I know full well that if I was still in my abusive relationship and had no where to go, if my dog lived with me then I’d struggle to leave. Most refuges don’t accept pets. I understand some people have no choice to leave their pet behind. It must be so hard.
