As I say, I’ve read a lot of books now in regards to domestic abuse. But Natalie’s story really opened my eyes to how awful it can be.

It actually finished this book in 3 working days, I say working days as I work 9-5 so I read it outside of them times. I didn’t want to put it down, I think she is such an inspiration.

I’m so lucky to be able to volunteer alongside her at Alpha Vesta CIC. When I was able to connect with Natalie I was over the moon. She was my inspiration for carrying on.

Natalie was 8 months pregnant when she was stabbed 24 times with a carving knife in broad daylight. She finally realised the attacker was her partner.
