When I first came across this quote I thought what the hell. I instantly thought why are we promoting people to work theirselves to the ground and burn out.

Then I looked at it from another perspective.

When I started raising awareness and sharing my story on domestic abuse I was still going through it. I mean I’m still going through it now (financially). However there was so many times I got scared, anxious or worried that I just wanted to give up.

I was tired. I didn’t want to be defined as the girl that was abused. I didn’t want any back lash. I just wanted to be me.

But with encouragement, I didn’t stop. Then I won young banker of the year.

Short story but don’t stop.
