I’ve gone near enough two years dodging the awful covid-19 and today I tested positive. Great.
My sister came down from university on Monday. She tested negative before she arrived. I popped round to see her. The next day she did a flow test before work to check and it was positive.
I instantly knew I had it. I just had a feeling. My mum said it was probably in my head.
So from then I started testing daily. I don’t go anywhere as I work from home but I just knew.
Tuesday – negative
Wednesday – negative but started to get a cough. I’d just recovered from a cold so I couldn’t see it just coming back.
Thursday – negative. Feeling very unwell. Faint, hot, cough the lot.
Friday – positive.
Word of advice, be careful if you do come in contact with someone. It takes a few days to show up.
I won’t be able to see my family at Christmas now, however it’s not the end of the world.
