This little girl had a perfect childhood growing up with her supportive parents and her two younger sisters.
Dad was in banking and worked his way up the ladder which inspired this little girl. Her mum stayed at home to bring up her sisters and she was lucky to see her all the time. She also saw her Nan and Grandad every single day.
She played netball, went dancing, acting and singing. She also went away every year with her family in the UK and played lots of sports with her dad.
She always wanted to work in banking just like her dad but bullies at school said she wasnât âsmart enoughâ or wouldnât be âgood enoughâ.
She ended up in an abusive relationship at 17 and didnât realise until 7 years down the line.
She had crippling anxiety and had no self confidence from the relationship.
She left in 2019 still with abuse taking place.
She turned her life around in 2021.
She was able to start overcoming her anxiety, she was able to leave the house on her own after 2 years of being unable to, she started publicly speaking about domestic abuse, sharing her story and raising awareness.
She has been in banking for over 5 years, she has progressed, she is now the winner of Young Banker of the Year Worldwide.
Why am I telling you this? Because 70% of females feel more confident about their futures after hearing from women role models.
This little girl is me.
You can do it.
